Frome Market

So it’s all systems go in preparation for the Frome Artisan and Flea Market.

This is our first ever market stall at so we’re very excited. I want to make the stand look totally gorgeous! My mum has lent me one of these fabulous sun shelters to use:

but unfortunately its forecast to rain so we may have to rely on a gazebo instead. I have therefore stocked up on bunting and pretty lanterns to use as decorations.

We’re planning to sell smaller items of furniture at the market. I’ve been buying like crazy which is driving Gaz mad as you can no longer move in our house for furniture! I’m trying to concentrate on buying smaller items but sometimes I get distracted by a bargain – I have just purchased a large sideboard and a tall corner display cabinet much to Gaz’s despair!

Here are a few of the items I picked up especially for the stall:

And are some of them post-transformation:

I adore these stools! I had been desperate to use Annie Sloan’s Emperor’s Silk for a long time now – it’s a gorgeous deep red and I think it looks fabulous with the floral oilcloth.

This evening I will be transforming this mirror, nest of tables and a matching coffee table:

I am also working on a number of bedroom chairs and need to make cushions and hanging hearts tomorrow. It’s going to be a busy 24 hours!
